This workshop works best if it is done quickly. Ask your team members to answer honestly based on gut feeling and experience.
It is best for smaller groups and takes about 15-30 minutes. If you have a larger group, divide them into smaller groups of 3-5 and allow for team discussions in the end.
Here's how you do it!
- Create a matrix with the ideas in the first column and the categories "New", "Useful" and "Feasible" in the other columns. Ask your team to measure the idea to the main categories by giving it a score from 1 to 10.
- New: Is the idea new or has it been tried before? A higher score means that is more different from what has been done before or is more innovative.
- Useful: does it solve a problem and does not create new problems if realized?
- Feasible: Can we realistically make the idea a reality with the resources that we have?
- Ask your team to tally up the total score and discuss as a team what ideas you want to execute.
- Summarize the discussion, and share it with your team in your communication channels after the workshop.
If your team is really set on an idea that, for example, is low on feasibility, you can have a team discussion on what you need to make the idea more feasible.
