⌛30-60-90 PLAN

Purpose: Structure your onboarding and training
Updated 4 weeks ago

You can use 30-60-90 to onboard and train new employees for their roles

After three months, the employee should feel pretty confident in their skills, understand the job processes, and, if applicable, take proactive actions

The process is divided into three milestones—the 30-day mark, the 60-day mark, and the 90-day or 3-month mark. For each milestone, you designate specific objectives for the training and how it will be structured.

  1. The first 30 days should be focused on mastering the key aspects and processes of the job, getting to know the atmosphere and team culture, and building relationships with colleagues.
  2. For the 60-day mark, you should focus on training and providing knowledge for additional processes needed in the role. Here the employee should start feeling more confident.
  3. At the beginning of the 3rd month, you should review the training and see where you need to provide additional support or training. At the 90-day mark, your employee should feel ready for the role.
